Billing Policy
Payments are due the first
of the month. Bills for lessons will not be sent on a
regular basis unless there are separate charges for music,
exam fees, recital fees, or materials.
All music is ordered from a distributor, and the resulting
savings will be passed along to the student.
There will be a $35.00 fee for returned checks.
Any account that is 30 or more days late will be assessed
a 10% late fee per month. All accounts must be brought
up-to-date before exam entries will be filed.
ABRSM Exams will be billed three months prior to the
exam.
All recitals will require a 50% deposit one month prior
to the event.
Accompanist fees will be billed by the accompanist.
Cancellation Policy
Any reasonable explanation
for a missed lesson will be honored. Due to the subscription
policy, a last-minute cancellation will be excused due
to illness, bad weather, or other unavoidable situation.
Other than for unsafe traffic conditions, this courtesy
will not be extended after two “no-shows”
in a given academic semester. Generally, 24 hour notice
is expected for an excused cancellation.
Accompanied Lessons
Six lessons each academic
year will be accompanied at Mrs. Fischer’s studio.
These will be scheduled to coincide with the ABRSM exams
and with studio recitals. The accompanied lesson will
be the same day and time as the regular private lesson,
only the location will change.
Studio Recitals
There are two studio recitals.
The ensemble recital will take place in the early spring,
and a traditional solo recital will be scheduled the
first weekend after Memorial Day. The solo recitals
are professionally recorded and students will receive
a CD of their performance.
