A
world where Joan Sparks, flutist, and Anne Sullivan,
harpist, are happiest performing and teaching in venues
as diverse as the Tatnal School Auditorium in Delaware
where they are Artists in Residence, to San Diego and
New York City where they won the National Flute Association
Chamber Music Competition in 1988 and 1996, to the A.
I. Du Pont Hospital in Wilmington where they performed
in rooms for children, bedridden, and unable to otherwise
experience the wonderful world of chamber music. One
would be hard pressed to find a more apt "chamber"
for the mission of SPARX-an otherwise bleak province
they fill with the sparks, the emotion and intimacy
of the SPARX experience. |
